This DVD collection has been mastered from fair to very-good 16mm reduction prints provided by Mark Roth, Donald Lee, Darren Nemeth and Film Preservation Associates. Among the source prints are those manufactured and distributed in 16mm by Essex Films, Hollywood Film Enterprises and Stark Films from the 1940s through the 1960s.

The majority of the films feature musical accompaniment by Ben Model, with additional accompaniment by Bernie Anderson Jr and Ray Brubacher, and one film accompanied by preexisting recordings.

For reviews of some of the individual films, see our Caught in the Rain on home video, Heavy Love on home video, Laughing Gas on home video and Luke’s Movie Muddle on home video pages.

The supplemental material includes a short film from the 1960s featuring clips from silent films (5 minutes) and a PDF copy of The Charlie Chaplin Book (1916).
