Edison Manufacturing Company production; distributed by Maguire & Baucus. / Cinematography by William Heise. / Kinetoscope 35mm spherical 1.33:1 format. Color-tinted. / The production was shot by February 1895 in the Black Maria studio in West Orange, New Jersey. The film was made to replace Annabelle Butterfly Dance (1894) for domestic distribution by Maguire and Baucus. This early Edison subject was used as part of the premiere presentation of Edison’s Vitascope motion picture projection system. Musser control number 117.

Performance: Dance.

Synopsis: Annabelle Whitford (later Annabelle Moore) performs her butterfly dance wearing a pair of prop butterfly wings.
