Married actress Avonne Taylor; divorced.
Married Nancy Emmons; until her death, April 1947.
Married Victoria Ann Enoch; until Carlyle’s death, 17 June 1955.

Carlyle Blackwell began in motion pictures for The Vitagraph Company of America in 1910.

When acting in England, Carlyle Blackwell entered into a partnership with producer Michael Balcon to form Piccadilly Pictures Company in 1926.

Blackwell retired from motion pictures in 1930, but continued acting as a live theatre actor.
