Born 1 January 1848 in London, England, United Kingdom, as Clara Rose Hodges.
Died 22 February 1941 in Los Angeles, California, USA, of a heart attack.

Married concert tenor Samuel Thomas Dunn (stage name Henry T. Bracy); son, Sidney Alfred Dunn (actor Sidney Bracy), born 18 December 1877; another son (sources differ as to whether there was a third son); until his death, 31 January 1917.

Clara T. Bracy began motion picture work for Biograph Company in 1908 working for D.W. Griffith. She appearsed in dozens of short films from 1908 through 1915, working for Biograph and Reliance Motion Picture Corporation, Bracy appeared in one feature film for the short-lived Empire All-Star Corporation in 1917, and appeared as a supporting player with her son Sidney in Her Night of Romance (1924).

Clara turned in her final film role in If I Had a Million (1932).
