April 1916 (at 3986 feet). / Standard 35mm spherical 1.33:1 format. / The production was shot in the Majestic Studio in Los Angeles. Chaplin’s last official Essanay film. The two-reel version of the film was, in early 1916, expanded to four reels by Essanay with outtakes and new subplot involving Turpin, directed by Leo White. The film (four-reel version) was rereleased in the USA on State Rights basis by Victor Kremer Film Features, Incorporated, in January 1920.
