The film was originally released in two parts shown over two evenings: premiering 22 October 1921 as Die Sendung des Yoghi (The Mission of the Yogi) at 2957 metres, and on 19 November 1921 as Der Tiger von Eschnapur (The Tiger of Eschnapur) at 2534 metres, both at the Gloria Palast theatre in Berlin, Germany. The film was edited to eight reels by Julian Johnson and Benjamin de Casseres and released in the USA in August 1922 as The Mysteries of India by Famous Players-Lasky Corporation; the USA release was retitled Above All Law before its general release (at eight reels) by Hamilton Theatrical Corporation (through Famous Players-Lasky Corporation) on [?] 1 or 2? October 1922.
