W. Chrystie Miller
(same as W.C. Miller)
Born 10 August 1843 in [?] Dayton, Ohio, USA? as William Christy Miller.
Died 23 September 1922 in Staten Island, New York, USA.
W. Chrystie Miller began his acting career on stage in the 19th Century, and began working in motion pictures for Biograph Company in 1908. The majority of Miller’s screen credits are in films directed by D.W. Griffith.
Miller appears to have retired from motion pictures in 1914 with a couple of small supporting roles in Griffith films.
Confusion between W. Chrystie Miller and Walter Miller is slightly compounded by the former being sometimes known as W.C. Miller and the latter sometimes being known as Walter C. Miller, and by both of them appearing in Biograph films for D.W. Griffith and other directors in 1912-1913. Website-IMDb and Website-Wikipedia have suspect and cross-pollinated information that adds to the confusion.
