Thanhouser Film Corporation was created from the Thanhouser Company after company founder Edwin Thanhouser retired in 1912. Months after Charles Hite died in an automobile accident in August 1914, Thanhouser was reinstated as president of the corporation by Mutual Film Corporation on 22 February 1915. Production was suspended in 1917, and the corporation was liquidated early in 1918.
