Kino International’s DVD boxset brings together two previously available Fritz Lang silent era films with two new releases. All of the films have been recently restored in Europe utilizing the best 35mm footage available to the restoration artists. All are likely to be the best available home video editions of the films, and feature footage that has not previously been available in U.S. home video editions.
For our reviews of the individual titles, see our pages: Die Nibelungen on home video, Metropolis on home video, Spies on home video, and Woman in the Moon on home video.
It should be noted that all of the films in this boxset have been improved in recent Blu-ray Disc editions from Kino Lorber and those discs are the editions we recommend.
