Ratings (1-10): video: 4 / audio: 5 / additional content: 5 / overall: 5.

This DVD-R edition has been mastered from a good to very-good 16mm reduction print that is missing the original opening titles and some of its introductory footage. The faster-than-natural-speed video transfer is soft in image details and a little contrasty. Some shots and intertitles are too dark to easily discern their content. Some dust and speckling are present as are several instances of schmutz, print damage and splices, but the main problem here is the older analog video transfer with its low resolution and uneven, dark exposures making viewing a bit of an effort.

The film is accompanied by a cobbled-together music score from sourced film soundtrack recordings of varying quality.

This is currently the only known home video edition of The Buckaroo Kid.
