This 50 film DVD collection includes the Rin-Tin-Tin feature film Clash of the Wolves (1925), mastered from 35mm print materials held by the Library of Congress.
Silent films are accompanied by music scores by Peter Child, Brian Robison, Charles Shadle and Fred Steiner.
The collection also contains commentary on the films by 17 critics, historians and preservationists, including Paolo Cherchi Usai, Robert Gitt, Tom Gunning and Patrick Loughney. The set includes a 200-page book of program notes. A number of the films have been available on home video for years, but we expect this collection to present the best available editions of these films.
This remains our recommended DVD home video edition of the film.
