The novel was subsequently filmed as The Dawn of a Tomorrow (1924). In later years, Pickford thought (as noted in Eyman-Pickford p. 79) that this film had burnt in the Famous Players New York studio fire on 11 September 1915 along with the film The Foundling (1915).
