This DVD edition of this early Dreyer film has been mastered from the original 35mm nitrate camera negative, which should yield spectacular visual quality. The film is accompanied by a new music score adapted by Neal Kurtz from the music of Edvard Grieg.
Also included on the disc are two short Dreyer films from the 1940s, They Caught the Ferry (1948) and Thorvaldsen (1949).
This edition is now out-of-print.
