For some enthusiasts, the main attraction of this collection will be the piano scores performed by Neil Brand and others, which offered an alternative to The Alloy Orchestra scores on the similarly programmed Kino editions.

On its 2002 release, this DVD collection from Lobster Films and Film Preservation Associates seemed redundant in the wake of Kino International’s 2001 two-volume releases of short films featuring both Roscoe Arbuckle and Buster Keaton. The differences in content here being the inclusion of His Wedding Night (1917) and Oh, Doctor! (1917) compared to the combined ten-film program of the Kino editions.
The films are presented from material provided by Lobster Films, Cinémathèque de Toulouse, Národni Filmovy Archiv, Cineteca Nazionale and Film Preservation Associates.
For some enthusiasts, the main attraction of this collection were the music scores performed by Neil Brand, Robert Israel, Brian Bennison and Eric Beheim, which offered an alternative to The Alloy Orchestra scores on the Kino editions.
This edition is now out-of-print; it has been replaced by the two split Flicker Alley editions noted above.
