The Return of
Grey Wolf
(1925) |
This northwoods action drama stars Leader the dog along with James Pierce, Helen Lynch and Walter Shumway.
The film is unintentionally funny as its intertitles try to imply English spoken in a French-Canadian accent. And, you have to love a film story told in flashback by a dog!

This DVD-R edition has been mastered from a very-good 16mm reduction print with a broad and detailed greytone range. Some of the brightest highlights are blown-out and the deepest shadows are plugged-up, but the print does look better than most vintage 16mm prints.
The film is accompanied by a cobbled-together score of preexisting film music.
